This week's words of the week are all words you will have covered at school during your grammar, punctuation and spelling lessons. Your job is to write these words, their definitions and examples in your word journals. Show them to me for a prize! 

Antonym and synonym

Nouns: abstract, collective, proper, common, concrete, pronoun 

Parts of sentences: adverbs, clauses, adjectives, prepositions, subject, verb, object

Figurative language: metaphor, simile, hyperbole, personification, onomatopoeia, alliteration 

Types of narrative: poem, myth, legend, fable, proverb

These will appear, as if by magic, in the middle of your English tests. Be prepared!
