June Challenge. Fabulous Figurative Devices. Week beginning 24th June 2024.

Hurrah and huzzah, it's challenge time again. In our lessons this week, we have been learning about different devices used in English. You looked at my (frankly amazing) mind-map and thought:

'How will I ever be able to create something as good as that?!' (rhetorical question)

'Kelly is as good as Van Gogh at art- she's a rare talent,' (smilie) 

'Our tutor is the best artist of all time!' (hyperbole) 

Or maybe even, 'Our tremendously talented tenacious tutor is terrific.' (alliteration) 

Fear not everyone, I am confident that you will manage something just as amazing, stupendous and impressive as my mind-map. Your challenge is to give it your best shot. It MUST include all of the words and their definitions (from the picture above). It must also be colour coded and have pictures that will help you to remember the words and their meanings. It can be as silly as you want- be creative and enjoy yourselves. Sweet cones to the winners!
