Hello and welcome to learn by hearts!
Learning square and cube numbers by heart, so that they can be recognised easily and immediately, is useful because it allows you to move quickly through your maths test. Square numbers also helped me to learn my other times tables (or do speedy addition and subtraction from those tricky tables in the middle if you've forgotten the answer.) Shhh, don't tell anyone.
This week, we are learning our square and cube numbers. Plese visit the following website: https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/z2ndsrd#zyyxb7h and take the following quiz: http://www.thegreatmartinicompany.com/negativenumbers/squares-quiz.html

At home, revise them as quickfire questions. You could also apply them by adding/ subtracting and multiplying- for example, what's 3 cubed multiplied by 4 squared. :)
It is also really important that you know what makes a number prime and can recall the prime numbers up to at least 50.
