Deploy- to bring something/ someone into action. 'The police were deployed immediately when the lorry jack-knifed and spilt custard all over the M62.' 

Dismay- concern or distress. 'The couple were dismayed when they had to postopne their wedding for the third time.' 

Diffident- shy because of a lack of self-confidence. 'Patrick was a diffident boy who never stood up to his bullies... until the day he went rogue!'
