Angle facts. Week beginning 7th Feb.

Very often in the 11+ exams, children are asked to solve problems involving angles such as calculating missing angles in triangles or finding the angle of turn between the two hands on a clock. Although the numbers are not usually very difficult, the questions are impossible if children do not know their angle facts. Children need to know their basic facts: right angles, obtuse angles, angles in 3/4 of a turn etc. but they also need to know how to calculate mising angles in polygons. 

This week, the children will be bringing home their 'Angles facts sheet,' which they need to complete and learn by heart. The following websites should also prove useful:
