Mean, median, mode and range. Week beginning 25/04/22

This week's learn by hearts are a continuation of data handling- mean, median, range and mode. All of you lovely children will, this week, need to complete several questions sent via email. To help you remember the meanings of these monstrously mathematical phrases, here is a copy of a rhyme written by one of last year's wonderful pupils. It should be sung to the tune of 'Hey Diddle Diddle.'

 Hey diddle, diddle 

The median's the middle, 

You add then divide for the mean, 

The mode is the one that you see the most, 

And the range is the difference between.
