Indescribable idioms. Week beginning 20th June 2022.

This week we dive into the wonderful world of idioms. Idioms are (usually old) sayings that have different meanings, for example, 'To sit on the fence,' means that you don't take sides in an argument. You need to be aware of the most commonly used idioms- your Toucan acitivities will fly to your parents via email- and you need to be really secure in what the word 'idiom' refers to. These usually old, and often really daft, sayings can be quite a lot of fun. Enjoy!
